Rain…one of life’s most complicated, wonderful, and different elements of life. Some say rain is a gift, a beautiful thing, others say it’s something to dread and puts a damper everything.
I believe rain is beautiful and is welcome anytime in my life. It gives life to the things I love most! Flowers, trees, drinking water, and an excuse to cuddle up in your favorite blanket watching a chick flick with a steaming cup of hot cocoa :)
Well whatever it really is, rain give you time to ponder…think…and evaluate the fine things in life you don’t usually have time to think about, because you end up inside…finding something to do. Sometimes all you can do is think.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about life, and how it’s changing. Already my life has dramatically changed since my graduation. Some people you thought you were closest to…never felt so far away, not only in distance. It’s heartbreaking to me how some things die so quickly. Then it brings me to the thought like rain, if you don’t cherish it, or nourish it, it can and sometimes will die.
That thought took me to what matters most to me…and the things I never ever want to change. The main thought I had was the gospel. I can’t imagine where I would be, and what I would do if I didn’t know the blessed truths I know. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and is always there for me. I know my brother and Savior Jesus Christ is there my number one fan, and Atoned for my sins.
I’m very sensitive to doing what’s right, and when I slip up I tend to be really hard on myself. This week I got a taste of what it feels like to be loved and cared for endlessly from my Father in heaven and Jesus Christ. There is nothing like it.
And that brings me back to rain. Heavenly Father created it, therefore I love it! I should really use that attitude towards mosquitos and spiders…OH WELL. I’m still human and I can’t be perfect. I’ll continue to scream at the sight of them.
I also need certain people in my life to keep me growing and becoming what I need to be. I guess you can call them my rain!
So in rain, shine, cloudy or snow bring it :) I’m going to love it no matter what. Who knows? A great adventure may come because of it!
